Volunteers Needed

If you cannot attend our monthly meetings (where sign up sheets are made available), we encourage you to review the activities listed on our Events Calendar to see if there is something you would like to participate in.  Participation not only gives the resident members a break, but is also a great way for you to get to know other club members.  Opportunities for participation are listed below.

If there is something you would like to do, simply send an e-mail to anglers@embarqmail.com.  Please include,

the word “Volunteer” in the subject line,
your name,
you phone number,
the activity you would like to help with, and
the dates & times you would be available.

We will check our sign up sheets and let you know what we need in our reply.

Monthly “Covered Dish” Dinner Meetings

A table is set up at the entrance to the club with name tags.  Each month we have “greeters”– one or two people at the table to hand out name tags.  All you need to do is come at 6:00 pm, when the doors open.

Club Sponsored Events

All club sponsored events require setup (usually a day or two in advance of the scheduled event).  Additionally, club sponsored events that are open to the public require some form of participation throughout the event.  Participation may include ticket sales, merchandise sales, serving food, etc.

These events typically take up a bit more of your time than serving as a greeter, but can be very rewarding.  Sometimes participation in these events even yields a free meal.

CHAC Annual Invitational Tournament

In addition to the normal preparations, setup, and participation throughout, the Invitational Tournament requires an ample supply of judges.  Judging positions are for specific sessions—that is a 3-1/2 hour session, either morning or afternoon. Serving as a judge can be as much fun as fishing in the tournament. Individuals interested in judging must apply for the position. Click here for a judge’s application—session dates and times will be included in the application.
